Minimalism Close Up

So my photography lecturer Mr.Martin gave his first assignment which was to take minimalistic close ups , we just had to use our phones and take close UP photos in black and white and that's about it ! I really wanted to try and use the DSLR already so i asked him if I could and he didn't mind. He's a really dope lecturer by the way. I really like the first one but the last one tho , it just kinda gives this lack luster vibe.
STREET PHOTOGRPAHY

William looks really awkward standing there

Standing where I was to take this photo was pretty scary-ish

One bird stands out and it could be a logo for the next big thing

Reminds me of that one scene where the thing falls and that one song comes on

This picture really annoys me

They take our money

the walls look messy

One bird ain't right

Smile while you still can

So I went to Klang on 4th October with college mates for a photography trip , our lecturer took us to Little India. It was really hot , like scorching hot so it was really draining but we somehow managed to appreciate the culture there.
At the end of the trip , I began to really like street photography because it's so real. It's like either you encounter things you just don't see normally at home or random incidents that turns into beautiful still photos captured by your lens. Culture also becomes very apparent as you get lost in the place taking photos. It's kinda cool how like different places with different cultures makes you feel different things.
CAFE SHOTS

STUDIO LIGHTING

lucky me and yc and jane. we got to kinda have our own private studio shooting on 25 Jan Wednesday but with some of our seniors taking photos of fruits and hand moisturiser , so yea that was a lot of fun like really. we even got like one strawberry from them so thanks.

anyways we divided our time by doing two different types of shots one being more focused on shadows and lights & the other being focused on studio lighting . Hope you like the photos <3

Levitation Photography
Cafe photography , well, trying to do one without standing on a chair is really hard , oh and not to mention cafe prices are pretty damn expensive but all that aside , it was really fun !
Rakshee , a decent cafe. Sadly no decent pics , I mean we did sit outside and it was around 8p.m. but their cafe sign looks really cool
Komodo Riverside ! Well it's not really called that but we call it that because we saw a Komodo in the River.... There was a nice ABC outdoor cafe so why not

Also inspired Komodo Sculpture

This is probably the most decent photo I have of a food without standing on a chair

Oh yea and this too , I actually kinda like both of them together ha ... ha
